Norm Coleman Gets $1M From National GOP To Fight Franken

Rachel E. Stassen-Berger  (rstassen-berger@ pioneerpress.com) yesterday filed a report stating that the National Republican Senatorial Committee poured just shy of $1 Million last month into incumbent Minnesota Senator Norm Coleman‘s heretofore ill-fated re-election bid against author, comedian and liberal ex-talk show host, Al Franken.  Most went for legal fees and consultants.

Despite healthy fund-raising efforts on the part of the GOP for Coleman, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) has comparatively paltry funds allocated on Franken’s behalf, however a number of celebrity contributors have offered support, including Barbra Streisand, Don Henley, TV Producer Steven Bochco and Les Charles.
