NEWS? We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ NEWS!

24-hour news is as useless as contact lenses in the desert. In most cases, 24-hour news has hurt, not helped the world, which has to know about the latest abducted white girl, local plane crashes in which no one was killed (good news but beyond Butte, where it happened, is there really a need to go international with it?) We see much more but learn much less from 24-hour news ops and its “news” is often anything but. Continue reading →

Big Eddie Gets a TV Gig @ MSNBC

Ed Schultz, one of the original liberal talkers, suffered through many years of accusations by right-wing naysayers droning that the liberal talk format was simply not viable.
